Assemblage names a dynamic tangle of relations. Since relational boundaries are contingent and never fully congealed, she argued the plural risks imposing arbitrary cut-off points in our investigations into network relations.

The Existentialists demanded we open up space for more possibilities toward a better world. The Ontologists insisted that reality already holds the potential for that better world in the first place.
Then the Material-Semiotics folks waded in to ask whether the furniture, drinks, and connections aren't shaping those possibilities.
