I've watched a few videos on "multipreneurship". Funny how many people peddle buzzword concepts promising quick wins…
A quick look at the literature tells us "portfolio entrepreneurship" is real. But it's a niche for some very experienced founders and probably the exception rather than the rule. Defo not the way to start a business.
Someone has put together this excellent walkthroughs to help new users get started with JabRef, an open-source, cross-platform citation and reference management tool.

For those who (unfortunately) still need to write their papers in word, you can use JabRef too: docs.jabref.org/cite/export-to…

I got caught beneath the weight of promising undeliverables.
But it turned out not everything has to arrive on linear time. Sometimes directions take the scenic route and make a temporal return.
So here we are my friends. Wishing you a pleasant day.

The improv session turned out okay. Initially, my own dramaturgical approach was a little too rigid, and it looked like I was trying to manage expectations of our unfolding interaction. Of course, as with any free-flow endeavour, overly prescriptive actions tend to stifle the performance. But we worked with this imposed limitation collaboratively, and pushed forward the plot as characters and events emerged.
Overall, it also helped us to appreciate uncertainty as much as clarity. We discovered that doubt about our roles or contributions isn't a weakness, but can provide meaningful material for exploration.
Good show, thespian boys and girls.
Interesting discussion over lunch: Process-oriented vs outcome-oriented collaboration...
We reflected on how, in our current settings, collaborative practices such as sound-boarding, critical dialogue, and genuinely supportive check-ins tend to be overlooked.

I called my interlocutor's bluff... she's reassuringly convincing as a performer in many aspects.
But I wish she would have a little bit more confidence in herself and the context of interaction.
I think there's real value in being open to exploring conditions of shared experiences that can be worth their while.
Presumably that's generally well understood within an ethics framework, if it's not obscured by the methodology itself.

Highlight of the Week: Great article in The Economist on Britain's desperate political class being out of ideas. Here's my summery.
Tom Skinner:
"You want me to give politics a go? I'll bang out some TikToks --- bosh!"
Westminster-Bubble Dweller (alarmed but intrigued):
"Gosh... that might actually work."
Loved how one of the stories at the gathering slightly jarred... were those provisions really offered at that time?
But that disruption became a powerful metaphor. It made the audience pause... re-evaluate their ways of being and belonging. An iteration that allows for both change and stability at once.

A lighter touch after a tricky moment… intern messed up the mic presets at yesterday's pilot show launch.
Two hundred in the audience. No one seemed to notice... thankfully.
And yet I'm left with the heavy task of an incident report, hoping the paper trail tames chaos.

The girl didn't take any sides; she just told them to be nice to each other and added whoever gave up the seat would get some kind of voucher.
And suddenly, both of them were "just about to leave anyway" each insisting the other should take the seat. 😂
