Some avatar pictures of incoming posts are distorted. But when actually looking at people's profiles everything looks normal.

What's going on here? Is this related to my server or a wider federation issue?

This happens when the system wasn't able to fetch the remote picture in time. Then this blurry picture appears.

@Andy H3 when I am looking on your public timeline, everything is normal .. maybe a browser addon? (update?)

@hoergen This mostly happens with some posts coming in via Mastodon.

Glad you can access my public timeline. My server was down for a little while over the last day, as I moved my setup to a different host.

@hoergen You mean the counter? I think this was put in the latest release candidate.

Or maybe the mushrooms finally worn off and I'm just seeming it now... 😆
