I was a member of a pod years ago, but looks like its gone :/
I'd like to learn more about how the Fediverse works. Is it related at all to Mastodon?
For persons who are #newhere and consider themselves refugees from other sites, It would be worthwhile to (re)visit this guy @axbom 's site, axbom.com/fediverse/ to really understand the nature of the #fediverse and how it all fits together.
Not because I think you need more homework (who ever I think I am), but because #fedi is *not the same* as the places you are leaving, and is much bigger than one might imagine. Also it's a fascinating explanation that's holding up really well.

Trying Friendica Out!
First post, I've been in the fediverse for a while but this one is new and a welcome change. Really like that you can basically aggregate all the other platforms here in a really nice way, in addition to all the other features that I've yet to explore. I think between this and supporting the web revival movement I'll be more content with the way I interact with the internet. Lots to explore!

some of the best references I've seen are the ones where one stranger introduces another stranger to me.
I check out the referrer, find out that they don't seem to think the world is flat, or that oligarchies are cool, and then I get to add TWO people. It's like a sale.
