My main shoes have been deteriorating for a while; finally went to order new ones. Wanted to just replace them with the same thing, but of course that’s not possible. It’s been just over five years since I ordered them, turns out. Gods forbid companies keep making a product for more than a year.

Of course, sometimes that goes sideways when after a few years, you realize you want to significantly change directions on a product, like I did when I decided to start wearing "barefoot" shoes, and now the two pair of still-in-the-wrapper athletic shoes I have are not something I'm every planning to wear again.
